Watkins Glen in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York State is one of only two Road Course used in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series.
By common agreement it is one of the most demanding race tracks on Brakes within the Cup Series.

Of the 43 cars which started the race last Sunday, 16 ran on Mintex F Compounds. So good were the brakes however that Mintex were on 5 of the top 10 Finishers - copyright prevents us from naming them.

This follows on the success at the hardest brake Oval Circuit, Martinsville, in April where Mintex took the top two positions.
