MINTEX REIGNS
IN RICHMOND
World’s biggest
brake specialist notches up US win number seven
In their most emphatic performance yet, Mintex, the world’s biggest
brake specialists, took the top three slots and five of the top seven
positions, in the latest round of NASCAR’s Winston Cup, on route
to their seventh win in the USA this season.
On
the back of the recent 1-2 CART success in Denver, the sixth Winston Cup
victory of the season at the Monte Carlo 400 at Richmond International
Raceway, confirms Mintex elevation to top stateside stoppers.
The
impressive display at Richmond is also the second time this season that
Mintex has fitted five of the top ten finishers, after some raucous racing
at the brake-sapping Watkins Glen road course for the 2002 Sirius Satellite
Radio, saw them do likewise.
Richmond
International Raceway is a 0.75 mile, 14 degree, banked oval that demands
a tough performance from start to finish, and with 400 punishing laps
to complete, Mintex put in a show-stopping performance for NASCAR win
number six.
Commenting
on the result, US Motorsport Manager Tim Clark said; “Mintex is
pleased to have won on what is considered to be the most taxing track
on brakes in NASCAR. In addition to having superior friction levels
Mintex provides materials that give a level of control and release,
unequalled amongst its competitors.
