FIA EUROPEAN GT CHAMPIONSHIP – FIRST WIN

In April 2003 Mintex gained its first GT convert to F2 compound with Mike Jordan’s Team Eurotec who after four races already have a podium finish in their first season of European GT. Two other teams then went on to test F2.

At Donnington UK , which is perhaps the toughest round for brakes, Mintex F2 was raced by all three of these teams and was fitted to the winning car giving us our first European GT race win after only four rounds. More amazingly the driver had only tested Mintex for the first time a few days before he raced, proving how controllable F2 can be in the hands (feet!) of a skilled driver.

F2 will now be tested by a number of other GT Teams and also a leading team in European Touring Cars which run in the same package as GT’s.

MINTEX WINS NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK ROUND

Hot off the press is news of another Mintex User win in the NASCAR, Craftsman Truck Series run at the Milwaukee Mile on June 28. The driver running on F2 compound is also the Series leader giving Mintex the lead now in both NASCAR Winston Cup and now NASCAR Truck.
