NECK and NECK at ROCKINGHAM UK

SCSA (Stock Car Speed Association) is the new name for “Days Of Thunder/ASCAR” The racing is similar to US oval stock cars and the specification is broadly the same as the American ASA series.

In the opening two rounds at the 1.5 mile Rockingham oval, honors were even between 2004 defending champion Stevie Hodgson and 2001 champion John Mickle. In the two races Hodgson finished first and second and Mickle finished second and first. Hodgson and Mickle are also team mates which means Team Xerox, prepared by Torquespeed, will be the ones to watch in 2005.

Mintex F2R compound, made by TMD Friction Inc is the specified pad compound for SCSA. Mintex has been used exclusively at Rockingham since the very first ASCAR race in 2001
